Guidelines for Abstract Submission
- Please follow the following guidelines before submission of your abstract
- Abstracts should be short, clear, concise and written in English with correct spelling and good sentence structure.
- Figures, tables and references should not be included.
- We recommend that the abstract is carefully compiled and thoroughly checked, in particular with regard to the list of authors, before submission in order to avoid last minute changes.
- The length of an abstract is limited to 500 words. The submission of an abstract carries with it the obligation that it is actually presented at the meeting by the author or, at least, by one of the co-authors.
- To avoid any inconveniences by a potential loss of electronic data before or upon submission of your abstracts, authors are advised to use a text editor (e.g. Notepad or WordPad) and then transfer the complete text lines or blocks by "copy and paste" from the locally stored electronic files into the given text fields, rather than typing it directly.
- Use only normal keyboard characters.
- You can paste your text from your word processor to text editor and then to the text block.
- Spell out Greeks, eg alpha, beta, gamma. Superscripts and subscripts may only be included if they are coded as below. For example: mm2 as mm{super}2{/super}, H2O as H{sub}2{/sub}O, Italics should be preceded by {i} and followed by {/I} For example: {I} italicised text{/i}.
- Please do not use hard returns at the end of each line - the text will wrap automatically
- In the online abstract submission page, the text lines and text blocks are reserved for:
(a) Presenting or corresponding Author's details
(b) the Title: Type the title in small letters, except for abbreviations, the first letter of the title and the first letter of each proper noun,
(c) the Author(s) followed by corresponding affiliation(s)
(d) the actual Text of the abstract.
