Call for Abstract/ 35th Annual Technical Sessions,
Geological Society of Sri Lanka
35th Annual Technical Sessions of the Geological Society of Sri Lanka (GSSL) will be held on 22nd February 2019 at the Oak Ray Hotel, Kandy under the theme of“Emerging Trends in Geoscience and Geology of Sri Lanka”.
The Technical Sessions will be a unique forum for geo-scientists in the country to present their research findings and exchange knowledge among other follow geologists. Therefore, the editors of the GSSL invite you to submit an abstract under the following thematic areas to be presented at the 35th Technical Sessions.
Thematic Areas
- Minerals, Rocks and Crustal Processes
- Geological Hazards, Mitigation and Management
- Exploration, Exploitation and Economic potential of Mineral Resources and Groundwater
- Soil, Earth surface processes and the Environment
You are requested to submit electronic version (MS Word) of one paged abstract (300 words, For formatting guidelines, please visit ) to one of the editors (Dr. Nadeesha Koralegedara, or Dr. N. Balasooriya, ) before the closing date.
Please note that the abstracts will be peer-reviewed and only accepted abstracts will be appeared in the Proceedings of the Technical Sessions.
We would appreciate if you could send us the abstracts according to the guide lines on or before 15thJanuary 2019.
